We all know we should be listening to podcasts, but we never really commit to tuning in to one. I’m telling you to change your ways! So, check out some of these podcasts and take a listen to one over your morning coffee, shower (because that’s where all the good ideas come from, right?) or commute to work. How Giving Time Can Inspire Personal Growth

Have you ever considered giving your most important asset away?  I am not talking about money, I am speaking about your time.  Your time should be spent on your top priorities and I want to convince you that if you are not already giving your time, it should become a top priority and will lead to unmatched personal growth. I don’t know the exact number but as far as monetary donation, according to philanthropy.org the US ranks 13th in the world in giving.  I am willing to bet it’s ranked even lower with respect to us actually giving time instead […]

Are you looking for that boost, that aha moment, that thing that is going to push you over the top, help you achieve your goals at lightning speed, and give you the confidence to go out there and take on the world? Yes?  Well you need to form a mastermind like yesterday. This post could be huge, in fact I could write a whole book on this topic (hmm, interesting idea) but I will spare you the agony and give you the cliff notes. What is a mastermind? A mastermind is quite simply a group of individuals working together synergistically […]

Happy 2015, With the New Year comes a fresh new start.  Time to wipe the slate clean.  This is the time of year when I literally spend 2-3 days planning my new year.  From finances to fears to goals and aspirations to holding myself accountable through it all. I start off by creating a mind map of my yearly goals.  I am a very visual individual and it […]

We all want Time Freedom

I just got back from Cabo San Lucas and it was a relaxing five days of lounging on the beach, watching whales at play, eating fish tacos, and exploring the Baja.  I rarely get to relax like that but I am making it a new habit because I had a explosion of creativity.  Just sitting with a pad and paper watching the ocean, I came up with a dozen new blog topics and even a good topic for a book.  I am really enjoying my time freedom which leads me to this blog post.  What is the definition of time […]

Take A Mini-Vacation To Achieve Balance In Your Life

Last week I went away to the mountains.  I flew from San Diego to Bozeman Montana to meet up with some friends at a ski resort called Big Sky.  It was my first time in Montana and what a beautiful and peaceful place it is.  The snow filled tranquil setting and the bonding and communicating with my friends at the highest level was exactly what I needed.   This week I felt recharged and reinvigorated and “work” was less laborious.  Its extremely evident that relaxation does in fact enhance your creativity so how can you replicate the recharge from a vacation […]

You Are Not Defined By Your Limitations

Back in 1999 I had just returned from Italy with my family.  It was a wonderful experience but as a result I learned something quite striking about myself.  That was the fact that the dairy in Italy was literally deadly to my body. When I came home I got so sick I lost 25 lbs in less than two weeks.  I was pale white and couldn’t hold down any food.  The doctors thought I had a parasite from Europe called Giardia.  It turned out to not be that and 3 months later I was still not able to function and […]

Being Indecisive Is Sabotaging Your Success

I am sitting here over looking the ocean trying to write my newest post.  The irony of this whole situation is that I want to write a post on decisiveness and yet I am staring off at the ocean being indecisive about how I want to start my post.   Some posts take me 30 minutes and others take me 3 hours.   When I am more decisive I write quicker and my posts tend to flow better.  So what does this have to do with anything and why is it such a game changer to be more decisive in your life? […]

From Cubicle To The Beach

It’s the first week of 2014 and I am sitting in my new “office.”  It’s an outdoor roof deck set back about 5 houses from the Pacific Ocean.  I have been envisioning this moment for the last 5 years and I consider it an accomplishment.  From corporate cubicle dweller to entrepreneurial beach bum, its been a fun ride. Do you hate your office, your commute, or even your job?  Well it doesn’t have to be that way.  You too can have the ocean front office with the view. I used to have the 45 minute commute where you dreaded leaving […]
